I did call USAutos to see what they could offer, will see what they come up with.

Ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha

They came up with the same kit ($699 from CI)  -  £794 + VAT

I'm surprised they even phoned you back, they don't normally when myself or Chris calls.

As a check price (at least) I'd give John Woolfe a bell . . .

JW's came in £50 cheaper for the same kit, but still way over priced.

I have found the Serious Street kit from Baer, not directly listed as a fit for 2nd Gen F-Body as they don't offer a matching front kit, but it will fit anyway.  Only $50 more than the SSBC kit, and better quality too.

Will need a few extra bits, proportioning valve, some new MC to rear brake lines, and maybe a E-brake cable, but some of this may be included in the kit.

Just sorting out the final details with Baer (possible custom finish on the calipers?) and I'll be good to go.

Still haven't got my brake bits !

Royal Snail tried to deliver them at 08:45am just as Management was taking the kids to school.

They have left a nice note saying you can't pick them up from the depot before 17:00pm

Looks like it could be a very late night lying on the drive tonight

Just been to the main Post Office to pick up the brake parts and they haven't sent the shoes

Rang US Auto and they said " Didn't think you wanted the shoes ? "

The GMC lives !
Took the SOB down to the local Lucas brake centre to get the system bled , cos I couldn't do it !
Say's to the Chappy , £19,99 all vehicles fluid change and system bleed ?
Yes that's right fixed charge.
Took em three hours and they weren't happy chappies but it was still £19.99
So two new rear brake cylinders , new shoes , although the nearside ones have seen some brake fluid. I cleaned them with brake cleaner and they looked alright ?
So cross your fingers I going to drive it to MK , hey what's the worst that can happen ?
Oh well yes , the brakes fail and we all die or it catches fire !
Well it is Friday 13th

Well it's done another 150 miles since yesterday and apart from the nearside rear drum getting a little warm the brakes seem to be OK ?

So fingers crossed I can stop lying on my back on the drive for a few weeks.
