New rims secured and funky wheel nuts on the way.
New Hood struts and wiper blades to fit.
Alternator to put back on.
LSD to fit.
Bling Valve covers and Air filter to Fit.

And Traction bars, prop loop to install.

I intend to drive her for a month or two then pull the gearbox out to recon it.

They already have done, Mate.

Your car will NEVER be tax-free.

It was one of the first things the current Labour government did when they got into power - froze the (then rolling) 25 year Historic vehicle band.

Now it's froze at cars older then 1972.

January 31st 1973 if you want to get picky

Thats why you get beetles of quite similar standards, one in 1973 and one in 1972, the 1972 one always sells for uber amounts

He cut road tax to zero for the smallest cars but put it up to £210 for the most polluting cars.

At least we all know that we are waaaayyyy over the polluting level, so it's not a close call!

It's probably for cars with 2.5 litre engines and up isn't it?

We all double that!

And here's me  - a graduate in BSc Environmental Studies!
