The previous owner is sure it's a 6.6 and some of the reciepts for parts say Pontiac 6.6 litre , but in 29 years a lot can happen

Whilst going outside in the rain <again> to look for letters on the engine/head blocks ( failed again ) I noticed that she has a fuel filter just under the alternator
Stupid question of the day ?

Will she run OK on unleaded fuel ?

looks like you need a block casting no to properly identify it.  besides, only 185hp from an 6.6ltr lump is just giving Shifty ammunition!! LOL

Its not actualy a trans am its a firebird esprit and they made 34,548 of them this would explain the 305 motor

***EDIT***

But not the shacker hood, me thinks some one has tried to build a TA from a base model esprit

Its definatly an Esprit they normally came with the smallest engines,Looks like it may be a Trans am clone but then if its got a 6.6 it will go like the real thing anyway

Its a shame as if it was a stock esprit its more rare. If it was me i would put it back as it was and have a nicer looking car in my opinion as well as it being a little different

Martyn, have a look and see if you can find any other ID plates for trim spec and color as they did a limited edition skybird that was all blue even the rims

The whole car has been heavily undersealed , even under the parcel shelf in the boot

Probally explains why it appears to be so sound

Looking good Mate.

I'm still in awe at how sound she appears.

I'm tempted to take a drive to Luton and have a butchers at some point.
