I haven't got the cash for a complete respray in the current metallic finish. so the question is
Will Satin Black work on an LT1 4th gen?
Obvious question that no-one's asked . . . How is Satin lack going to be any cheaper ?
Don't listen to the morons out there who say that painting satin is easier than gloss because it is not. Gloss can be wet-flatted and polished to get rid of drips and runs . . . . Satin is a one-shot deal.
Get it right first time, no second chances.
It p!sses me off when some complete pleb assumes they know what they're talking about when they don't (and I don't mean you, Titsy)
As for cost the prep work will all be the same, time spent will all be the same, equipment (unless rattlecanning it) will all be the same and materials will be very similar.
Clear cost will be the only difference between the two.
Of course it's illegal to paint your Camaro in Cellulose (but not mine) so you either 2K it (pro job) or Celly it and be naughty !
