ow... long time no write huh...

well...

the blower is still makeing a slightly odd noise but ive pinpointed it now to the belt being too tight, the exesive tension is causing the blower shaft to rotate 'slightly' out of square and is casuing the bearings to grind slightly.

I ordered 3 new belts from summit which arrived today, im hoping to get them tested on the car soon so i know which one will work.. the paxton supplied 113 inch belt is WAY to short.  The spring tensioner is putting far to much pressure on it.

Ive ordered a 114 and 114 1/2 inch belt, one should hopefully be better.  Ive also ordered a 117.5 inch (the next one up) if the other 2 are too short still i will have to use this one even though its massively too long and fabricate another tensioner to take up the slack...

nothing's easy...

on the plus side since the last update its passed another MOT (3 miles between MOTs) I've decorated a spare room, a main bedroom (from bare brick walls and cracked floorboards) and finished the kitchen and lounge....

I've built so much ikea furniture in the last 18 months i know what the part numbers of the screws are !!!

I thought the main issue was the fueling maps, therefore it wouldn't get through the mot emissions testing

well... another year has passed... another MOT secured this weekend, drove it there in the glorious sunshine, and pimped my way back...

another 3 miles covered this year... it's all good....

I;ve been taking to a rolling road place up in northants that seems VERY keen to look at it, they're very flexible on hourly rate dyno charges which is exactly what i need

i need 10 minutes on the dyno then 50 minutes studying the data logs and making new maps, then repeat...  most places want to charge you an hour of dyno time for that privelage, which i think is taking the right royal piss...  this place will charge for as long as the car is being driven on the dyno... FAR better charging system...

Sounds good about the dyno,

like you say most will only charge hourly, so can be very expensive.

exactly, so for 80 minutes of dyno time ive got to pay 8 hours... which is ridiculous...  especially when most places want £125/hour !!

i rekon i can do it at this place for a little over £200 !!

is it rapid GB in wellingborough? if so, run a mile, thats the clownfit* that couldn't manage to swap my mustang engine in 6 months.
