Big-ish update,...
I bought that 92LX to part out but im becoming attached to certain parts of it... namely the lights, wheels so far...
I've fitted them to my fox and in my opinion it looks FAR better....
I also rubbed down one of the wing morrors last week and painted it yesterday, it did look like this.. it was painted with a rough badgers arse by the looks of it..
now..
this is only a temp measure as I have the original mirrors off the parts car to fit when this is re-sprayed. I'll be painting the other side to match for now though.
MUCH better even if i do say so myself...
I had to rewire the rear lights yesterday as the indicators were a strip of LEDs which have no load. This required some numpty to put a pair of caravan lights in the rear panel (INSIDE THE FOOKING CAR) to add load to the circuit. No wonder there were big rattles and bangs from the rear, they weren't taped down or anything, just thrown behind a panel and left to bang about... tossers...
I was planning to sell the motor and trans out of the parts car but I'm SO tempted to put it in mine..
fancy tubular GT40 intake manifold and larger throttle body
Ford Racing rocker covers
You can JUST see the stainless steel headers in this one
Its also got a t5 manual transmission which would be cool. With a Pro 5.0 short shifter that feels really nice....
Plus all round Koni adjustable shocks..
Plus Im having the whole rear hatch but keeping the GT spoiler as I like the higher level one.
both spoilers can be seen in this pic.
I'm also swappign the rear axle as the breaker has a rear disc conversion as well as some sneaky gearing I believe
not a bad weekend's work really.....
