Take the bits and car to a garage tbh...

I remember when I was changing the bearing on the coupe, it took me 2-3 days lots of broken/bent tools, a damaged speed sensor wire, and more swearing than you could imagine... and that was just trying to get the snap ring off.

So on the Monday dad took the new bearing and the knuckle to autorama, 15mins and £10 later it was all done...

I know its fun working on cars, and VERY satisfying.  But sometimes its just makes you start hating the car... thats when you should just get someone else to do it.

Definitely with Kenny on that one... let people who know what they're doing deal with the pain and grief (er...not insinuating you don't of course...!)

Comes down to money at the end of the day.  Even after breaking £20-30 worth of tools still cheaper than taking it to a garage.

Besides it should have been a pretty straight forward job that I have done a few times before...on every yank I've owned infact

That's often the problem, though - take a Yank to most places and they don't have a clue !

Maybe I'm just too sceptical . . . I do everything I can myself.

That's where being told about the nice guys at Paragon on the Rothersthorpe trading estate in Northampton helps...

Sounds very familiar.  Been there, done that, won't again.

All done
Cheers again to Titsy for help and Jamie, Fubar, Dad and Dean for tool loanage

Didn't brake any this time

Anyone Luton way going to be at the meet this weekend?

Edit: 90-95% of the vibration under braking has gone

Noticed the swaybar bushes are a bit knackered, will order a set when I get paid.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the ball joint splitter that I lent to Ian at the same time as the press?

Can the two join company for Sunday, if they aren't already?

There's a possibilty that we'll be coming up for this one.  Need to double check the plans.
