Its the machine work thats the important bit mate. Once you find a good machine shop the rest is easy

I had my crank ballanced at knight racing in daventry, they did a nice job so would definatley recomend them. As for other machine work i am sure they would also be good

Yes, I know of Peter Knight, does a lot of work for F1 stock cars and Drag teams. Will be good, but I reckon pricey too.

My crank was £150 for the ballance. The other machine work for my block which was bore and line bore was almost £400 (not done at Knight)

£500+ for just the machining?
I might be better junking that block and starting with a new one.
