Did you get that electronic ignition conversion fitted to your '56 ?

It's just that I've come across this on my travels of and was wondering . . .

I've used the Pertronix on my car all this year and its transformed the car. It's so much smoother, has more power, never pinks. I have heard a few stories of them giving up but i've had no problems with mine.

If you shop around RK you'll find one cheaper than that, I fitted the Flame Thrower coil with mine too

I would simply go with an MSD pro billet dizzy and a 6al, you might find that you need to go crank trigger for that injection system

I've got no idea how they compare, performance wise, but there's certainly a massive difference in cost....

Its not so much the performance. The chances are that the bushings in the old dizzy are worn along with the counterweights. By the time you have had the old dizzy rebuilt you might as well buy a new MSD unit. The 6AL will also offer rev limit along with tach output that will almost definatly be needed by the EFI setup
