posting live from the ace cafe ! Sure is busy with plenty of classic caddys, good bacon and hot chocolate. Had a stone fly up and chip the z28 windscreen on the M1. Catch you laters dudes.

Indeed minding my own business in the slow lane doing 50mph in the 50mph when a foreign Artic went past in the middle lane and there was an almighty bang on the windscreen
Two large chips in the top right hand corner, gonna have to get it repaired, but at least that can be done in my garage at home now that you can walk right around the car
I'll contact the company who did the Panda screen & see if they do chip repairs

Photo's uploading !

Ah forgot, as I joined the start of the M1 on the way home the engine management light came on
Pulled onto the hard shoulder & got the OB2 palm out of the glove box, turned out to be " Fuel sensor rich 2nd bank "
Did a reset and all was fine, that's the second time I've had that code although the last time was over a year ago, it's never when the engine is either cold or hot. It must be a few miles from the ace to the M1 and the last time was when I had nearly got to the M1 from the Caldecote Arms in MK

May be it's allergic to the M1

Got the same company who did the Panda windscreen last month coming out Thursday morning
I could get it done for free with Autoglass, but I'd rather pay £40 to get it done quickly & properly without any messing about

Yeah, I remember him mentioning the '59 Caddy before . . . .

Not personally a fan of 'Verts but his Purple Eldo is stunning (except one too many pair of '59 tail-lights ).

Especially when you consider it was a basket case he paid £350 for!
he's a very talented guy does everything except the interiors himself

Well they came out today but said that it wasn't worth doing
They polished the sharp edges off so that the wiper blade won't get mullered and didn't charge anything.
OK I agree that the two larger chips aren't massive but they are clearly visible, I'd have preferred to have had then repaired
He did ask if I had windscreen cover because he said a Camaro screen with the upper tint is over £900

A6 quoted me about £260 just over a year ago (without fitting)
RAC windscreens replaced it about a month ago.
I paid the £60 excess and it had to cost less than £800 all in as that is all MCE (nig) cover

Well I hope to not find out !

The Panda windscreen had a lot of small chips over the screen before it's final demise by a very large stone right at the bottom between the wiper blades
