We've registered 3 pre 1960 vehicles this year, didn't need an MOT for any of them.

The Prince Albert?

Good turnout for a chilly April evening, nice mix of cars, I normally find it hard to get excited about modern BMWs if I'm honest but that 5 series went up the road like a scalded cat and sounded strong. Looking forward to the next one, fair play to you Andy for keeping up the promotion side of it, its a good little meet.

And I so wanted Dave's Chevy truck!

Might be to late for me anyway then, fancied coming up in the roadster, always causes a bit of a stir, but I have to be in Henley for early afternoon.

It's been for sale on and off for a couple of years by a few different sellers, seems to be getting cheaper each time as well! As said, it won't be that economical either, £1200 to £1500 tops, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole personally

Should be there if it's dry

Can't wait to get out and about again after the miserable wet winter we've had, I shall most likely be there in something

Hell of a spec, Stromberg set up sounds cool, I'm guessing you have plans for getting the power down, steering, stopping and corners as well.

Would possibly be interested in your old transmission depending on price, and maybe other ancillaries you junk.

Might have a run over in the Impala on Sunday, can't be arsed to drive all the way to Ipswich for the Nats, this looks like it will keep re indoors happy as well

No offence meant Andy, just my opinion, i think the engine cover looks ok but i think the two smaller ones contrast against the inner wing and dont blend so well. At the end of the day its your car and fair play for putting your mark on it, and its all good practice for the Camaro

General Banter / Oil - Mineral, part or full synthetic?
« on: April 27, 2013, 01:11:59 pm »
On the older cars in use Valvoline VR1 20W50 Mineral Racing oil, use a semi synth on the more modern stuff.

The guy in the black Mustang leaving Wheelsday is an A R S E H O L E. he had been doing burnouts in the queue leaving Wheelsday, surrounded by other cars and pedestrians. Every year Surrey Street Rodders who host the event have major issues with the MOD who own the land and there is a strict no burnout policy when leaving. Idiots like him and a few others put the running of the best one day show in the UK in jeopardy.

Yep it was driver error, it didn't help being on the hatched area but it was down to an unskilled driver. He's probably banged it into second a dozen times before and chirped the rear tyres but never on a dirty road. You can hear him revving the nuts of it while waiting for the Focus to go
