If its as good as the dyno its gonna be very acurate. The dyno is within 5% and you can even calibrate it. Mine is caled to westech dyno facility in california

you can play this un

http://www.awesome50.com/highscores.asp

That's cool.

The actual car was at the santa pod last year and drew humungous crowds - shame then thats performance wasn't as good as its looks; it also needed several 'alterations' to bring it up to SFI safety standards before they'd let it run - bit it really does look awesome in the flesh.

Video games for tuning cars? I think Ill stick to the old fashioned way of trial and test

my point exactly - its like the guy last year who was an expert around the Nurburgring on the Xbox - then totaled his motor on the 3rd bend when he tried it for real and couldn't understand why

What ever, you dinasours do it your way. I wish i had the budget to spend on testing and tuning a setup but i dont so i will be using the simulator the same way i checked the design of the motor. If its as good as they say i should be able to get a rough setup to start the run with and have a couple of other things to try using a couple of runs

Its not really a case of budgets, when I started i didn't have the money to go testing every week (still don't)

I bet if you paid one of the chassis builders in the UK the equivalent cost of that piece of software for an hour of their time, described exactly what you are trying to achieve, the weight of the car, type of suspension, type and size of tyres, rear axle etc etc the advice you'd get would be worth a lot more than the cost.

I've tried some of those software packages in the past and while they might give you a 'rough' guide to what you may be able to expect, they rarely, if ever, have the infinite list of real world variables you need to make the right decision, any one of which can push you off the edge of the track. Just a suggestion.

Thanks ray, im gonna order it anyways as i can get it for $30 as i already have other software of theirs. Its a rough idea i am after mainly for building the car so i can put weight where i want etc. I know nothing can compare to real track time.
