I still don't see the point.

And I'm guessing it can't be all that successful as we'd be seeing that set-up a bit more often.

Great as a showroom piece of engineering but that's it, IMO . . .

Does he have a dyno sheet to prove how much power it's making?

I estimate my IROC has 1,000BHP after fitting the high flow panel filter...

Ok here is the explanation behind the monster stacked system

Quoting: Bill Bolin
Just trying to be different than everybody. The WHOLE story behind it is on PY and has about 15 pages of bickering (now deleted), but the short story is I wanted to stand out from other cars and wanted to try the double blower setup. I was told by some blower manufacturers that it couldn't be done.......that fueled me further. I knew I could make more power with one supercharger overdriven faster, or twin turbos, or a bigger blower but that wasn't the point. There will always be someone faster or someone prettier and I don't have the $$$$$$ to compete with that. So I did the next best thing.........Stand out in the crowd. Judging by the internet buzz, the magazine coverage, the calendar coverage and the $$$ I earned this year by showing it......I feel I accomplished what I set out to do. As for next year, that's a different story.........I'll keep ya posted!

Hmm, a slow 3rd gen with a dodgy gearbox vs a knackered 2nd gen that can't move under it's own power (yet).

Can't wait to see that one.

I've seen FAR too many pictures of that thing, now.

Yeah, great, it's got two blowers . . . . It looks F*cking stupid.

It's the chav of muscle cars IMO.

And I don't care what people say - I'm utterly unconvinced that the set-up works.

It's got 2 Superchargers and a 300 shot of NO2 . . . . est. Bhp 750Bhp.

Well done, Mate.

You've wasted a packet on that thing.

agreed!

Hmm, lots of chav cars are different, doesn't mean they have taste.

Personally I like the car, but I'd like it a lot more with just one blower.  As with a lot of things in the modifying world, some people just take it too far for attention or to "be different".  If you wanna be different that's fine, but then don't bitch when people dislike what you've done.  Being different means not following the herd which will always lead to criticism.  If you can't take criticism (valid or not) then being different is not something you can cope with.  When people aren't able to cope with criticism of some project like this it shows they didn't do it to be different, they did it for attention and to make people jealous, and now that isn't happening they get miffed.

As for generic redneck Camaro bud, you've got yourself a non running 2nd Gen, (something found in equal measure at most trailor parks) with just as much of a boat anchor for an engine as in any 3rd gen so I wouldn't be so quick as to throw stones.  And until it actually runs successfully and quickly on the track I wouldn't go around boasting or berating others as *if* it blows up halfway down the strip after you've talked it and yourself up you're gonna look like a ****.

Spot on, Mate.

Chavs bolt unnesicary crap onto their cars, too, and expect everyone to like it, hence my earlier comment.

As for the rest.

Ahem.
