Social Distortion @ O2's S.B.E - 7/7/11

After being a little disappointed with the Foo's last Sunday I thought I'd check and see if the problem was just me geting too old.

So I headed to the Citaaay to see Orange County's finest and am happy to report that I happily held my own with a load of Punks and Rockers at the edge of the moshpit, at the front, for the duration of the gig.

I love this venue and the band played a blinder.

It's only a show if you're close enough to see the band sweat - that's always been my feeling . . . I think that's totally lost in the big concerts (for me at least) and this gig reinforced that.

Social Distortion began as a Punk band in the 70's before adding Rockabilly to create what's now called "Cowpunk".
They also successfully added a Hank Williams track to their set before finishing with a Johnny Cash number.

Truly Fierce !!
