Tried fixing my Radiator with some two part putty that starchief had, but it's still leaking passed the patch... So it looks like a new rad

Started on fitting my traction unit but hit a couple of snags trying to work out what was going on with the ABS sensors... I could only find three inputs to the ABS controller, and only three sets of pipework to the brakes.... The reason? It turns out I've got a Limited Slip Diff fitted... Although it means I've got to work out how to fit thetraction with my Tech Director on Tuesday at work...

F Body noticed my reverse light isn't working, which is interesting considering the car had an MOT two days before I picked the car up....

I'm also in need to some paintwork on the rear bumper.... it was all good until a 'missunderstanding' between myself and starchief as he was backing me into a space outside his gaff.... I didn't hear him say stop, but I did hear the crunch..... Bumper is fine, bt the paint has flaked....

Also found a bulge on one of the tyres, so that will need changing soon too.....

All that glitters, But I still love it!

Dont need reversing lights for MOT but bulge in the tyre should have failed.

Don't think my (US) 4th gen had reverse lights, TBH . . . .

The Third Gen has - but the Fourth Gen didn't.

EDIT

Remember F-Body's is the Euro-spec Z28 . . . yours is the US spec one . . .

Might have used the reverse lights as indicators to get it through the SVA/MOT's

Have just read my workshp manual on replacing the Rad, and I have to  get the aircon discharged as the aircon rad is mounted on the water rad... More money...
Anyone know of a good place I can get the refrigerant recovered and then regased after i've done the rad...?

is this the manual being over zelous?

my air con rad is in front of the water rad, but you dont need to remove one to get to t'other...

and yes, haynes say you do need to on mine, too..

Same oerson regassed the astro air con - the temp probe in the dash vent afterwards read 3.3*c so the guy knows his stuff!

The hoses from the aircon go over and under the water rad, a can't see how else it could come out with next to no slack on the flexable hoses...

mine run over it, but after emoving the clips that hold them, there is more than enough movment to remove the rad with them in place..

might be one of the things that just possible in the third gen, and not quite in the 4th..

If it can be done without de-gassing than all the better, but I can't see it happening...

The liquid line does run over the radiator, and the condensor bolts to the radiator. I believe if you unbolt the conensor from the radiator then you should have enough slack to remove it without having to remove the freon.

The 'Service Engine Soon' light popped up on my way to work this morning....

Does this mean it's hit a service interval related to mileage, or has it thrown a code???

Possibly a code.

Sometimes caused by a (o2 ?) sensor failing . . .

Mine stayed on most of the time.

Not a biggie, though, I think Ryans got a code reader . . .

Ryan, if it works with the LT1 PCM can I borrow it? sooner the better so I know what I'm up against....

In fact, any chance I could pop round tonight after fixing my rad at dean's?
