thing is it was an IBM drive so it was a PC manufacturer have got a hitachi drive now and is as good as gold. Also i think all the traveling in the usa of that year didnt help as everytime you go through the x-ray machine the laptop must be removed and slid down the rollers unlike every other country when it stays in the laptop bag which reduces the shock

only the top models have the 7200 drives and they are out of my reach, although i would probably fit one anyway. The main problem with the high speed drives is they run ubber hot

indeed, it wasnt a software failure it was a mechanical one. That statement was about software compatability issues. then again if your gonna use it out of context
