Title: New Tow Vehicle
Post by: ianjpage on August 17, 2015, 08:18:06 pm
Been looking for a replacement tow vehicle / second car for a while since we got shot of the Land Rover, and been looking at Jeeps mainly - went to see a couple and wern't impressed as they were definately not as descrived in the adverts (lacquer peel, tracking issues, air con problems, exhaust & coil spring issues etc etc), then came across the one we bought on Autotrader.

We have picked up last night, a '06 Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Warrior 3.0L V6 Auto.

It's got 129k on the clock so fairly high, but does have full service history and various receipts for some work, is due a service now but came with 12 months MOT on it.
Got a few scratches around the body, most of them look like with a good T-Cut & Polish should come out, driver's seat a bit worn but reckon with some leather food & a good clean it be OK.

Nice, looks tidy and big, I like it!  :mooncar:

I have noticed that Shoguns have a lot of passenger space in the rear compared to similar 4x4s.

We went to NIreland earlier this year and I had a '14 plate Shogun as a rental car. It was great to drive with a high driving position. There was something about it I did not like, but I cannot remember what it was. I will probably remember later.

Nope no caravans for a while (no money / storage for one!!) but needed something nice and powerfull / big to ensure it can tow the BBQ without issue and also if needed trailers etc etc
