Basically. When I drive to Southampton again on Tuesday the Chav'scort would've paid for herself and her insurance within 3 weeks.

Spose it is company image isn't it, you turning up in a smashed up car doesn't look great, thing is with a new wing a can of spraypaint & some form of cover for the rear seat (even a blanket) it wont look too bad.
Quoting: FUBAR
I'm sure you're Grandparents must have some extremely tasteful blanket you could use as a rear seat cover...
Don't have any grand parents . . . . And no, I'm not buying new seats. (http://www.aaci-beds.co.uk/forum/smileys/smirk.gif)

She takes about a litre of water every 50-100 miles or so . . depending on the run.
Quoting: Roadkill
And she's STILL GOING !!!
the question is of course, for how much longer (http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/dontknow.gif)

I'm beginning to think the same . . . .
Quoting: Roadkill
I seriously don't think she'll survive the next "long" journey, though . . . . she's leaking water fast and give n the choice between sitting waiting for the AA for hours (again) and running her home dry, I know what I'll be doing.
as posted in the other thread, chemical metal and silicon will solve those problems matey
Quoting: Roadkill
Hmm . . . Would be handy to get a few . . . .

UPDATE !
She passed 139,000 miles a couple of days ago . . . . !
She's only a few miles from achieving (unbelieveably) 23,000 miles in my ownership (PhilO will tell you that's around 35-40,000 miles without an oil change).
She's over-heated twice this week due to lack of water so -
Regarding the water leak . . . . I finally decided to do a little mythbusting and roughly crushed about a level dessert spoon full of black pepper corns . . . .
So far, and this could be coincidence, it appears to have actually slowed the leak . . . maybe even stopped it (but this is hard to tell with the rain).
