BTW, I have my Cherokee insured with them, fully comp, 20k miles, protected full NCB etc and that was cheaper than anyone else could get near (around £620 I think).
Other companies were fixatied with the engine size and not that it was a specialist vehicle. My 1.8 Mondeo was around 600 to insure for the same as above, all other companies were asking for nearly 1k to insure the Cherokee!! Reasoning? It's a 2.5 engine and not a 1.8. :epic-fecking-facepalm:
So, the Cherokee is nearly 2 tons and accelrates slowly with around 90-100BHP, where as the Mondeo could reach 'normal' car speeds quite quickly with around 110/120BHP.
Okay if you look at Torque, the Cherokee can pull a house down, but they purely went on 1800cc Vs 2500cc - and not Petrol Vs Diesel or take into consideration different engine technologies.
:soapbox:
