Regarding the "Finish line . . . " DVD Movie.
It's only available in Region 1 Format in the states:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8020000342&fromMakeTrack=true
But I emailed the guy to ask if a PAL version was possible . . .
"
Hello, Mate.
There is a fair amount of interest in this Movie in the U.S Auto scene here in the U.K . . . and it's been the subject of several threads on related forums.
Any chance of a PAL version for us Limey's ?
Cheers.
"
I Think it would be good if we all (assuming we'd like a copy) ask similar questions to raise the interest in a Region 2 version.

This is the Bizarre response I Got :
"
Hi!! I am well aware of the popularity of U.S. cars in the Land Down Under. That's why my auctions have shipping price for Australia. I just wasn't aware that you used PAL over there. I should've known. Anyhow, you're the second person to ask me about PAL. For all other serious buyers, all I can say is just E-Mail me mentioning your interest in purchasing this DVD in PAL. I will then show the E-Mails to the person who financed the whole movie. He has the final decision. I'm sure he wouldn't mind running a small batch, of say, 500 DVD in PAL, if the interest was there. But, unless others chime in to get their vote counted, I have no way of proving that others would be interested in a PAL version of this DVD. I appreciate your interest in this DVD. I will tell him of everyone interested in this DVD in PAL.
"
I Replyed :
"
Australia ?!? LOL, I did say U.K in there somewhere I'm sure, can't speak for the Aussies but I know several who are Muscle Car fans . . . .
I've spoke to a few people already within our car club (in the U.K)
and the general view is to purchase Region 1 anyway as most DVD players thesedays are multi-regional.
Thanks for the quick response, I'll be purchasing my copy as soon as I check my DVD player.
