Help needed

A work colleague's father owns a 65 Chevy Impala.  It is a shell and was going to restore it.  He has bought almost everything new to go on it and the engine has been upgrated from the 5.2 to a 7.5.

The shell is in very good condition and really only needs the parts putting back on but unfortunately his health is deteriorating rather rapidly and wants to just get shot of it as it is.

Anyone guide me on what it could be worth so I can pass this information onto him.

If you need any more info please let me know and I can find out.

Many thanks

tricky one, pricing up a restoration project... it purely depends on the right person seeing it at the right time.

if everything panned out right i'd think maybe £3000 or so would be a realistic top whack, possibly more if its an SS or 2 door. might have to wait for the right buyer though.

is it 2 or 4 door? was the 5.2 the original engine, if so is it still available? (numbers matching cars always fetch far more money) any chance of any pics?

As PhilO says - more info needed but I can't see it being worth more than £3000-4000.

Pretty much what Phil and Dean have said, it's hard enought to sell on the road cars in the current economic climate let alone projects. Details and pics will help.
