Accident
« on: May 25, 2008, 10:30:11 pm »

Minding our own business this morning - headed out to local place to do a car boot - bloomin thing cancelled cos of the rain.

Started heading back and came round this bend to find brother-in-law in car in front braking cos of flooding across the road.  Braked behind him with loadsa room - but pr*ck behind is obviously oblivious to the fact that i'm stopped in front - next thing I know - one hellova wack up the backside

First thing he does is apologise.... took his name, address and tele no. as normal (apparently - never had accident before!!) and he told us to ring him later to get his insurance details.  Why I am I not surprised we can't get hold of him!!!!!!!

He's driving a Merc 240 and wowow what a mess to his front end  - in this case i think it' s Lacetti 1 - Merc 0.

One helluva bad neck this evening so will see how I am in the morning :'(

I'd call the Police if you haven't already - once they've got the details the guy'll be F*cked over if he doesn't get back to you.

My pops Voyager was hit on a round-a-bout by a polish driver..  He slowed down after it had happened waiting for my dad to pull onto the kerb to exchange details, as soon as my dad got up on the kerb and started to turn off etc, the pr1ck drove off!!!!!!!!!!!!  As he hasnt got that many details, the insurance company is wriggling out of it........................................................................................................

Hope it all works out for you a91

Sorry - been meaning to update - but been manic.

The chap phoned us on Tuesday morning to apologise as his mobile doesn't get good signal where he is he he.

Anyway he has admited full liability and we've got confirmation from our insurance company that his insurance is paying for absolutely everything

Even once the car goes in for repair we get a free courtesy car

Must admit - the worst thing about the whole thing is the pain - spoke to my doctor this morning and she confirms I have whiplash - so am waiting now for a solicitors to contact me about it (typical that my firm don't deal with personal injury) to sort.

Thanks for all your comments - will keep you updated
