Keeping my eye out for a late 90's early 00's Mustang, Camaro or Trans-am..  Any of those would do but I think I'd prefer the Trans-am or Mustang (facelift version of mine).
All going well I should have around £6k to play with by the tail end of the season.   Maybe a bit more but it depends what I get for the Stang and Mondeo..

You're selling the Mustang and Mondeo ?

Are you using the Yank as a daily, then ?

Assuming my Mondey lasts that long, let me know what you're after as a replacement for mine is imminent.  Really imminent !  :sofa:

From someone who's loving his new toy it's nice to have a V8 Chris, it looks very mean.

Yeah, manual too.   That one will probably be gone by the time I'm ready as I feel it prudent to pass my 3 month probation at work before splashing cash on a yank.. Also I would want to sell the current mustang first. But that's the kind of thing I'm looking out for.   There's no hurry though I'm happy to wait for something "perfect" and the longer I wait the more cash I save!

I'm surprised you're not looking at something older and more interesting - 60's/70's ? - as you've got the space and will have a company car . . . seems logical to me.

The Mustangs are fine and are sensible but any yank I've driven built during or after the mid-nineties has really lacked any . . . . soul ? . . . Like the majority of cars built during or after the mid-nineties, I suppose . . . Look great, perform well but lack anything else.

Sorry Incursus, but I have to agree.  :yup:

You like what you like and cannot help that (I mean look at me with old crappy VW Buses), so if that era of Mustangs really give you a chubby, then awesome, if it makes you happy, go for it.  :cowboy:

However, as RK says, if it is something American you want, that has power and is fairly unique on the road, there must be other vehicles you would consider?  :pass:

None of my business of course, but I would be interested to know what it is with that model that you like?

I see what you're saying, and my wife agrees with you guys, but the issue I have, aside from the cost of a late 60's early 70's Mopar (full on chubby mode engaged) is it just won't fit in the garage, even empty the mustang will just about fit.. even that may need a roller shutter.. (operation garage clear out is scheduled for this summer, need to build/buy a large shed first.)

So long term, yes a garage extension and a classic Mopar is the plan but in the short term I want some V8 action that won't rust.. Doesn't have to be a Mustang either.
