Absolutely devastated/shocked about this news.

All our thoughts go out to his wife, Terri and children Bindi and Bob.

Well she's fixed Mr Redbourne sorted it out for us.  Went up to Birmingham on Sunday and drove all the way back with no problems what-so-ever.

My Dave spent Sunday afternoon and all day yesterday washing, t-cutting and polishing her.  Well what can I say - a totally different looking vehicle - piccies to follow once my camera is charged

Unfortunately we have decided that it isn't going to work for us, so have decided not to keep her    So for those of you who don't know:

1995 Chevrolet Astro 4.3 V6 - high top, American Freedom conversion - think it's quite rare as not seen another one around.  She has 43500 (ish) miles and we have just done an engine service (plugs, leads, cap, rotor, fuel filter).

If anyone is (or knows of anyone) that may be interested please let me know.

Thanks Mr R :)

Dave (my hubby) got this from one of his lists:

In the video you will hear the car rev up real fast when the second stage of nitrous comes on... That is the point where the dyno "went out". So during this time, all the nitrous was getting sprayed into the intake manifold, but not all of it was being used due to the speed in which the motor was accelerating.... then the dyno decided to load up. Now all that unused nitrous has to go somewhere. due to fuel puddling and everything that can happen in a state like this (fuel is obviously heavier than N20), the mixture going into some of the cylinders was not ideal, thus causing a few cylinders to run too lean. That's when you can see pieces of pistons and spark plugs start coming out of the exhaust.

Rev's when you put your foot down but sounds like it's only running on 5 or 4 cylinders

On idle it soudns like it's on on 4 or 5 but when you then rev it, it cuts out.

Hadn't given the EGR valve any thought but it could be part of the problem ?
How difficult is it to remove the EGR valve ?

Very easy - took "me" about 5 mins.

Well, we finally managed to get the "service" done on her - what a pig that was  taking the front wheels off (especially the drivers side) only enabled us to get to no 1 spark plug.  The other two on that side had to be done from inside and only with small hands - mmmmm guess who got that job

Spent all day yesterday putting a stereo in (yes we decided to go for a normal one!) and making her ready for the first day of her daily duty.

So today was the day - first day of hopefully many to get us to work and back.  Got halfway down the M4 and the SES light came on.  Still drove ok though.  Pulled off motorway at our junction and came to a stop.  She was chugging beyond belief and coughing and spluttering everywhere, put foot down to drive off and she cut out, started her up, she cut out etc etc etc

We had this problem coming back from picking her up and Mr R said it was the EGR coked up, we took the EGR off and thoroughly cleaned and put back together and she was fine.

Anyone got any ideas why after only 60 miles would this of happened again?  To say we are gutted is an understatement.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyone please.........................

Looks pretty sweet

Nice Reg " TNT "

Yeah - after what we went through with the DiVyLA they had to have a "bomb" put under them

Apparently when I got the plates made up in Halfords in Bracknell he commented on them saying "he had seen so many TNT's recently" I joked with him saying they weren't orange letters plastered on the side of vans (being the courier company!) and he just stared at me as though I was crazy - lighten up please!!!!!!!!

The link I posted is for a radio from a pickup but GM usually uses basically the same Delco radio across the board durring a model year except in the higher option packages and in Cadillac and Buick.

Thanks m8,  we are having a think about it now.  Basically all we want is option to play music (want to get a CD multichanger in!) and listen to radio (which we have another method going into the van to do that )

No worries - let me know if you need help in the future (small parts only as the boot on the stang is not big!). My current client is in Newbury so travel there once or twice a week until November at least!

Will keep that in mind m8, thank you

unfortunately the "copies" don't work anymore cos you need the new patch - which cancels out the "copy" code on the "cracked CD".  Hope that makes sense

If it's not too late let me know. I live 20 mins from USAuto and I will be in Newbury tomorrow.

Thanks m8, it was on the off chance someone was coming this way today, USAuto are shipping out today and it will be here tomorrow anyway.

I was just being impatient and wanted to drive our new vehicle tomorrow but will have to be a bit more patient and drive it the next day instead

Thanks anyway
