Questions and Queries / Clutch noise..

Completely off topic, but my mustang just did 21mpg on the round trip to Poundon and back (plus a bit more).

So if I only have 1 fan, should I extract from the back, or blow in from the front over the discs?

Doesn't usually matter which, with only one fan.
Seeing as the disks appear to be the problem, prpbably mount it at the front to blow in to them first.

I also looked at my PSU. It seems to be blowing down, into the case?!?

Check the psu fan direction with a piece of paper while it's running (carefully!).
They normally suck in from inside the case and blow out the back.

Pretty much the same thing Chris said.

The air needs to go in, flow through the case (past the hot bits!) and out the other end.

The power supply almost certainly blows out the back. Maybe check where it pulls from.

Which case is it?

Mine's still going.
Haven't any racing at all this year.
Lack of time, money and/or decent weather. I will get back into it though.

*Start Hypnosis* You will drive it work, you will enjoy it, you will not worry for one day about fuel, remember, fuel will be more expensive tomorrow, enjoy it while it's at it's cheapest *Wake Up*

That worked for me. I've been driving the car around instead of working on it breaking it. Really should get around to breaking it again soon though.

Nice looking car *and* it's driven at the track. Good man!

Fancy doing another car?

Ok, I can see the plan you've drawn. (it's a very big picture!)

Unless you own the whole of the road(?) where the red dotted line goes, I can't see how you'd be allowed to dig it up, as Dean says above.

You need to put the pdf on a website somewhere. Can't remember if the MKB gallery will work with pdf's or not.

http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=419000

That says:
What happens during installation?

We run a pencil thin cable from our network, underground through your front garden (where appropriate), to an unobtrusive box which we fix to the outside of your home.

Every install I've heard of includes virgin getting the cable into the house somewhere. Can't really see any reason or need for anything else.

Probably has quite a limited market - lots of money and no taste.
So probably perfect for some footballers other half...

I don't know - people willingly jump off a bridge into a river and then complain when they get there!

Camaro

Mind you, way back when I was first looking for a car, I saw a silver 4th gen where the back bumper had camero indented into it. No idea whether it was original or not, but it definitely had an E.

Spal come recommended.

True, but they aren't cheap.
I know exactly what I'd like, but only Spal USA seem to make it and it costs a fortune.

Oh and a 12 is the target for next year. Possibly a tad ambitious...

Not sure how much I should be giving away in advance....

I've managed to run a 13.9 now, still with stock heads, cam and intake and street tyres.

Next up are two small jobs (hopefully!).
Replace the clutch fan with an electric one - just need a fan.
Convert to mass air from speed density. Need a couple of bits of pipe and an ECU.

There are other larger plans ahead, but at least some of those require money I haven't got at the moment. Plus there's some maintenance work required too.

Another vote for Zombieland

So next weekend is 3rd/4th?
If there's parking space (and somewhere to kip?) it's a definite maybe for us.

Don't think we can do this weekend, but if you are playing Bad Company 2, let me know and I'll see if I can join in from home.

Otherwise, have a great time anyway!

Must make it to another one of these some time...
