Canada can have em! It's a poor attempt at a retro look in my opinion! GM could have done much better!!

Kudos to Ford with the Mustang and Dodge with the Challenger!! They did their homework IMO!!

Hey Ian, you can easily find out how fast that MTD will run in stock condition. Find the governer on the side of the engine, hook a piece of wire or string to it so you can pull it off while running wide open in 5th gear. Just don't hold it for more than about 30 seconds and hold on to yer hat!

Those wheels are what we call "baby moons" as they use the old fashioned baby moon hubcaps. Will look awesome with some 2.5 or 3 inch wide whites!

Hey Andy,

Are you driving from Miami to D.C.? If so, maybe we can meet up as you go by me on I-95. I only live about 20 miles from I-95 @ Exit 5 or Exit 8 in South Carolina.

Cheers, Carl

Just checked - It couldn't find me a Crankshaft from the later ('59-'63) 390ci Caddy motors . . . .

This is the last major part (with rods) on my shopping list before the rebuild begins.

Must find a crank !!!

Dean, try this fella. http://www.oldtimeparts.com/
There are several regulars on AACA and BCA forums that swear this fella can find anything if it's out there.

not really sure m8, we got a hole at the moment   from piccies in the owners manual - looks similar i think

The link I posted is for a radio from a pickup but GM usually uses basically the same Delco radio across the board durring a model year except in the higher option packages and in Cadillac and Buick.

I would have to agree with F Body if you want functionality but if you're looking for an original radio to fill the hole the one I listed is a pretty good price for a guarenteed working radio. You could get one cheaper at www.car-part.com but may have to pay more for shipping.

BTW, everyone may want to bookmark this link www.car-part.com . It is a comprehensive listing of the major breaker yards in the whole of North America. Most of the yards that participate have links to their own web sites along with email links and toll free phone numbers.

Also, to do a search on this site you have to have a post code. Feel free to use mine, it is 29906.

Just bought the Olds last year with 34,000 on it. Bought my Buick almost 2 years ago and have only put about 1200 miles on it since. Don't have any pics of the wife's grocery getter but it's a 1996 Ford Ranger Splash 2.3l 4 pot with a 5 speed manual box. 102,000 on the clock. Black with fiberglass bed cover, sun roof, purple neon lights underneath, alarm system. It's currently at my mates with the box sitting in the bed as the slave cylinder packed up. Should have it back on the road Wednesday.

Mustangs are nice mate but there a dime a dozen anymore. EVERYBODY has one. Mine is a '65.

Currently undergoing a driver resto. Have finished the motor rebuild and now replacing the front floor pans and i'm gonna paint the top white. The wife likes the turquoise color but says theres too much of it. LOL

I went over to their place in london about 6 months ago to look at this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200014400246&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:UK:12
as i thought I'd try and save it from being 'pimped'. Still think it'd look cool in black and fixed up.
Anyway, walked away as I really didnt like the look of their set up, maybe just me but def had a bad vibe

Too bad you walked away from this one mate. T-Top Cutlasses from the early 80's are rare even over here. Would have made a crackin ride! Carl

I've seen pics of you Philo and you do look like yer still wet behind the ears! LOL

I worked at a quick mart/petrol station when I was in High school. Had a gal come in and try to buy beer. I refused to sell to her as she didn't look a day over 16 and her ID said she was 43. I was SURE it was fake! I was WRONG!!!! She really was 43 I found out later as she worked with my sister. LOL

She was pissed I wouldn't sell her the beer but well chuffed I thought she was only 16.
