i just sold our matts car on egay today ,the blue 206,

as a classified and got a gr8 price for it...

Fekker bid at the end then sent me an email saying their son placed the bid and he can't insure a 1.8l.

It had 1.8l mentioned at least 3 times in the listing. They offered me £10 to sell to the next highest bidder but the next bidder was already bidding on something else !

I hate selling on eBay . . . it's fine for buying - but selling ?

You can also try listing it Gumtree, which is free if you choose the basic listing and do not choose the listing add-ons and features. I have my Pop's old Mondeo on there at the moment for spares and repair. I listed yesterday around 16:00 and I have had 1 offer and two replies.

yup eaby bidding is open to numpties [the criteria for joining ebay is as bad as fagbook]

but with the ebay classified add [the same as gumtree]
the buyer has to contact the seller ,

so only people who need to buy will get involved....

i had 4 calls,all on sunday aft...

two people made it to view ,
the second person got their money out, [the 1st person was a divvi tbh, ]

i definitely feel you will get a bigger audience on ebay ...my car got around 190 views in 2 days...

Exactly my thoughts.

eBay bidding allows people tucked up in bed somewhere in Scotland to bid on a car in Lands-end, just because they can. I think some people think that once they have won, that then allows them to ask all the questions they need to.

I prefer to have a price of X and a number - if you want to consider the car at that price, then call me.

Well, the ad's been up for 8 hours, now . . . . I priced it at £595 . . . seems to be in the right ball-park compared to others on there.

We've negotiated a price £50 higher than it went for on eBay, plus I can claim the FVF's back from the original auction, too !

They'd originally offered to stump-up £10 for me to sell to another bidder . . . when I went back to cancel the transaction this got totally forgotten !
