Selling a car on ebay question
« on: January 12, 2007, 08:32:59 pm »
What do you reckon the best time to have an ebay listing end is and on what day of the week?

I am about to sell our 1989 mkII Golf Syncro on ebay having not sold anything before. Any tips/warnings I should know of??

Cheers,
Angus

I'd try and make sure it finishes either on aa weekend, or at a time in the evening when most people would be at home, but not in bed.... Aim for the prime time telly times I guess....

I always advertise on a thursday evening for 10 day auction so the item finishes on a Sunday evening and is advertised for two whole weekends, which is when most ebayers are on-line.

Yep, I would get it to end Sunday evening. Most people are in then. However most people seem to be on the internet at work during lunch breaks certainly most of friday afternoon.

I sold my '89 Firebird on eBay, was the first thing I sold on there.
The first thing I brought on eBay was my 2000 Trans-Am.

Good luck with the eBay sale. Sunday sounds good.
