Where to get axle rebuilt
« on: February 16, 2007, 09:48:06 am »
From the whine that comes from the rear when I lift off, and the amount of oil that has appeared on the floor/exhausts near the pinion, I have sumised that my pinion bearings and seals have gone and need replacing.

Whilst I think it's a job I can do myself, time is tight now and I'm thinking of giving it to someone else to sort out.

Can anyone recommend a place for axle rebuilds?

If he can't help you could also try Webster Race Engineering in Rushden; I took my camaro to Hausers for a gear set install and it whined like hell, they had 2 attempts to fix it before I took it to Websters who fixed it in an afternoon.

Edit: Thats not to say Hausers aren't good, its just that they couldn't find or fix the problem.
