Stainless Steel Cleaner.

The exhaust pipes on my Honda really discolour and take ages to buff up with Autosol.
Chatted to a guy at the Ace Cafe on Sunday and he recommended a stainless steel cleaner called OPTIGLANZ STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER

He promised me that you just spray it on and leave it for 5 minutes, then just rinse off with water. Also say's that it will not affect paint, rubber or plastics

It's not cheap at £11.99, but if it works I could find quite a few uses for it

Well it may be safe on paint, plastic & rubber but the fumes make your eyes water

So the £11.99 question does it work

Front exhaust before :

Front exhaust after :

Rear exhaust before :

Rear exhaust after :

So to sum up, minor discolouration just disappears as soon as you put the liquid on, middling discolouration takes a fair bit of rubbing and it doesn't really seem to touch the years old black stuff.

It's a lot quicker & easier than rubbing the pipes with Autosol and once there up to spec I think all you'd need is a weekly spray

So another product added to the F Body valet kit

Well it's very difficult to photograph the start of the exhaust pipes and the rest of the pipes were already shiney

Yes it works but not dramatically

Going to give the middle section of the F Body exhaust system a go tonight

( anything to avoid the football over paid actors on TV tonight )

NB  : I've tried to be a good father, helping her with school work, teaching her mechanics, going BMX riding & skate boarding.
Even paying for guitar lessons, how could it all go so horribly wrong

She loves football and fanatically supports Manchester United

I wouldn't have minded if she'd have ended up as a crim or pikey, but a ruddy football supporter
