Although mine is usable, it's over-rich and costing a fortune in fuel.

I suspect it's just sunk/badly adjusted floats, but with my luck if I try to do something with it, I'll end up with no carb at all.

I have a new one on order, but it's in the missing crate.

If someone has a spare, I can tinker with the one I have with the knowlege that a back-up is there if really needed.

I have one on the "Paperweight".

However, I've never run it . . . and the guy it came from said he couldn't get it running right . . . AFAIK it's hardly used . . .

Wouldn't like to say one way or the other.

and the only one i have is not only broken but is computer comtrolled too so would never work.

Have you tried running some redex through the carb? if your coming over saturday i will take a peek. Can you let me know what carb it is so i can get soe info for it

I think it's a Holley 3310 - 750cfm.

Ok after a quick look i have found the following, It has vacume secondarys might be worth checking that all the cvacume lines are good. It also is a "rich" carb.
