Sorry dudes to post this, but not getting much help else where..

Does anyone know much about 90s Ford engines?

A mates R reg Ford Mondeo 1.8 petrol totalled itself and Ive found an uber cheap 1.6 Escort Zetec engine on a N reg with around 100k on the clock to go in but does anyone know if this will fit in??

Immobiliser?  Will i have to take all ECU, ignition, key etc to get the fluffer to work?

Tanks for any info

Not a clue with modern cars, Mate, Sorry.

Would have thought it will fit, but not sure about wiring it up . . . I think you're gonna be opening a big can O worms.

they should use the same gearbox, but the loom, ecu, ignition barrel and therefore keys will all probably need swapping over,

probably beeter off paying a little bit more for a direct swap engine.  Try FMS in essex, 01708 557 444, theyre a specialist Ford breakers..
