That's what I use at work

It's very nice. So nice infact, that the next rig I buy will just be an iMac.

the glossy screens are AWFUL for any thing with a dark backround though... I've been suffering with this one for 3 years now... its perfect in every other way, just the glossy screen, which is fine for everything normal, but AutoCAD on a black background is a killer...

I haven't done anything intricate on a dark background yet, so I can't comment, but I guess you have already tried the obvious with closing curtains, turning certain lights off, playing with the screen brightness and contrast settings along with the calibration tool in Preferences?

i ended up disassembling it a while ago, and witout the glass layer the screen is perfect, but hugely vunerable to damage :(

Just brought this from eBuyer for £188 !!

Have heard the HDMI connection is a bit crap and is best to connect to it via DVI so I ordered this yesterday

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310394203461?var=610058607740&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

That will do the job won't it ?

Yeah will be fine, DVI is basically exactly the same as HDMI but with no audio.  I can't see the ebay link while @ work.

As I don't use the Monitor speakers I'm guessing that won't be an issue, then.

Should arrive tomorrow in time for the LAN.

Has anyone got a 1-2m HDMI cable I could borrow to compare the two, quickly ?

Cool, ta.  Just want to see if there's a real-person difference between the two as it's supposed to be noticeable on this monitor.

If you end up wanting to buy your own HDMI cable. Don't get suckered into the advertising BS about it having to be gold plated, oxygen free and blessed by the A/V Gods at ridiculous over priced prices!

(I should say that I've got several HDMI cables but all are too short, all cost me less than £2).
