Too late but I have the Orange Wednesday app, I don't know if losersroid has it yet but you can set it up with any old Orange number. Did it before my old Orange contract ran out, now have it for free on O2.

Ah yes, I looked on the market place before I put this post up. There is an official Orange app on there but didn't know how I would get it to send me the codes without an Orange number (I am also with O2).

How does it work for you?

I downloaded it (on to my O2 iPhone) and it required an Orange number to verify it. As I had my old Orange phone I set it up with that. You then copy the code across. It does it via data rather than the phone number. Tbh I'm really surprised they haven't jumped on it yet, you should only need some unsuspecting Orange user and you're away!

This is what I was thinking becuase when I was researching Orange Wednesdays - the code produced is different every Orange Wednesday AND is unique to each Orange customer.

It seems that with the same code you could have two people use it for the cinema and two different people use it for Pizza Express, but you can't both use it for the cinema / Pizza Express. It must be database driven which posts a 'used' flag on the code when used once at a particular venue.

As you say though, surely you could just use someone's number who is on Orange to set up the App, then use the code - but when the genuine person goes to use their code, if you have already used it that day, it will be invalid.

You can also get a "free" ticket if you use the Orange Wednesday in conjunction with a Cineworld Unlimited Card.

Ahhaa.. Cheers for the explanation.

So, orange will send your number a verification text, which, if to a genuine Orange number, it will 'unlock' the app giving you unlimited access to the Orange Wednesdays codes - and as the app is stored on the phone itself, you can then swap sim cards back to a decent network

So, really all I need to do is borrow someone's Orange card just to get the verification text back and 'unlock' the app, then it is set for good

I did this with a borrowed Orange sim - works great thank you.

Using it again tonight.

Do you know if the same code goes to the App as the original Sim card?

So if I get a code, then the person who actually has the Sim apples for the code as well - do we both just get the same code as it is 'attached' to the number (which the app on my phone now thinks it is).
