Shipping Dilemma
« on: October 26, 2005, 03:57:54 pm »
Most of you have seen the ball joint press kit that I want to get -
 http://www.jackxchange.com/products/7897.cfm
I've not been able to find anything similar here in the UK (if anyone knows otherwise - please shout)

I have found a few suppliers in the states, and only one will ship to the UK - the most expensive one at $190 before shipping (UPS - expensive)
The cheapest is $143 + 15 for US shipping.

The dilemma is, should I bite the bullet and just order direct shipping, or should I try and find someone who can accept delivery in the states and then forward it to me via USPS (cheaper). I assume that this would be cheaper in the long run, but needs someone to help.

What about Moving Parts ?

I suppose that is an option worth investigating.

You pay the supplier what ever price in the USA , they ship in the USA and Moving Parts ships to you.
He gives you an acurate quote up front , of the total shipping cost inc VAT.

Dunno if they are any good for small items though, you could post a help plea on the AACI forum, one of the guys on there helped me get my Z28 Logos back from the states,  never know sixpack or someone might help ya out

Ok, so Moving Parts are not able to help, too small to be cost effective. He suggested USPS, which was my next idea anyway.

Will see if any of our US buddies would be willing to forward it for me.
