As some of you will remember Management "persauded" me that we needed to buy a new Sofa at Christmas.
Anyway to cut a very long story short I parted with nearly £400 deposit for two hand made Italian leather Sofa's.
Delivery time was quoted as eight weeks, but might be sooner when we paid on 27th December 2006.
Jump forward to Monday this week 10 weeks later and I wonder where our Sofa's are
So I ring SCS a couple of times but no one answers , I try the Dunstable branch and it just rings and rings
On Tuesday I get through to the Customer Care Line at Head Office, sorry we can't discuss your order, you have to speak to the Dunstable branch where you order was placed
So I keep ringing the branch and on Wednesday someone answers the phone, sorry I can't help you you need to talk to the Salesman who sold you the Sofa's ??
He's the only one who can do anything, it's up to him to ring the manufacturer and check the delivery date etc - WTF
By Thursday I've had enough Bullshite and ring the Head Office asking for accounts, I ask the lady on the other end of the phone does she covers Customer accounts ?
Sorry wrong Dept she say's, so I say very nicely " Oh thank you for your help please could you tell me who covers that Dept ? "
She gives me the name of the accounts Manager lady and I ring the switch board back
Anyway to keep the story as short as possible this morning I'm told that the Sofa's haven't even been ordered
This afternoon they told me that the quickest time they could get them is another 7 to 8 weeks
So I've threatened to cancel the order ( paid by credit card ) unless they give a large discount to cover anoyance etc
On Monday ( after talking to the Regional Manager ) they will let me know what sort of deal they are offering
So if you want a new Sofa stay the hell away from SCS
