In fairness to the Mondeo I've only recently driven two other "modern" cars (Parent's '08 Astra and PhilO's Alfa) and I'm happy to say that the Mondy is just as inspiring to drive as either of them.
The Astra is easy and light to drive but offers no excitement. The Alfa is quite "barge-like" in corners considering it's not actually that large, although it goes well. The mondy is a fairly large car (actually quite large) but handles reasonably (even better with air in the front tyres !!) and can out-pull most things on the road once rolling in second, I've found. Add to that that it coasts along at 1700 rpm @ 70mph in Sixth gear and it'll p!ss all over both previously mentioned cars when it comes to economy, capacity and practicality.
I'm impressed, I must say, and I was sceptical at first.
Anyway - here she is :
£1900 with 4 months MoT, 10+ months tax and about £40 of fuel in her !!!
. . . . . And, yes, she could do with a clean !
Absolute bargain for a "base-model" car in such good condition with A/C and Cruise Control.
Edit :
Everything works as well.
