6.2 gmc diesel in range rover
« on: June 27, 2010, 06:57:38 pm »
I am a new member to your forum and have as detrailed abover a range rover classic fitted with a 6,2 gmc diesel engine with no turbo

The car is a recient purchase, and was bought to replace my 3.9 petrol range rover that t I use heavily off road

Does the club have any local contacts on the exhaust front as i seem to be struggling to locate a set of tubular manifolds that i can modify to replace the poorly fitted one's on the car

Most exhaust places I know work on the system rather than the headers . . .

I'm assuming you need a pair of tubular headers to marry up with the existing system ?

We did used to know a guy who specialised in exhausts but I've just checked his website and it looks like he's moved on to different things, now.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Just did a bit of googling - this site may give you a start point . . .

Thanks for the assistance, contacted Stan's headers and unfortunartly they dont do any for the 6.2 or 6.5 diesel

Had a look today at a set of range rover v8 3.9 tubular manifolds and with a bit of tweaking I think they may fit

Going along to the Caldecotte arms as I only live across the water in walton park

Aah Hiya Paul,

Welcome to the Forum
I'm Ryan, I spoke to you in the Pub today, & I hadn't seen the thread in advance (typical of me )

You may well get the Rover V8 headers to fit as its originally a GM engine so there may be some crossover there, not sure 100% though.
