I once worked a 5 min walk from home, and I absolutely HATED it.

You're an optimistic bugger CP, Have you ever done a crowded, rammed into a carriage like sheep, commute?

Terrible, terrible, terrible (IMO)

Good point dude.. I had visions of Flip sitting there in first class with a glass of fine Irun Bru, relaxed, legs extended onto leg-rest, free wireless in every carrage with enough room for a steering wheel and peddles to play Gran Turizmo.. I had forgotten about other people being on the train too, especially rush hour

Ar ar... No, not 1st class - but getting on at Wolverton is far enough away from London to make sure I get a seat and I can usually pick exactly where I wanna sit, so I'm more fortunate than say, the mob getting on at MK or Leighton Buzzard.

Usually I sit and read or play my PSP or just shut me eyes if I'm knackered. The nobs in 1st class don't get that much extra really for what they pay. Not with London Midland anyway, the Virgins from MK (not many of them around, ar ar) might be different.

Even though I have it pretty good compared to many train commuters, the sheer distance can be a drag sometimes I must admit now. Still, London money beats MK salaries easy...!
