TD Enduro engines are bullet proof

Hmm, yeah I'd like a diesel right now with the miles I'm doing.. Can't believe you don't get over 40mpg though!

Since filling with BP and more recently inflating my tyres even more - I'm getting about 40 - 42 mpg

Lol! Might have something to do with the leaky intercooler to. Started using BP Ultimate, first time was by mistake but made 350 to half a tank so even though it costs more I'll be using it over ASDA's stuff. Also did a fuel filter change, amazed by the difference!

You have 535 miles to a tank to beat a 1.8 petrol (with light on).

Piece of pi$$ if I drove like a saint kept it below 2.5k but the thing is gutless. Plus motorway cruising 70mph (honest) is 3~3.5k which is on the turbo. The thing that let's mine down is the MTX 75 gearbox. I'm pretty sure its the same ratios as the petrol.

Also, my light comes on with 8 litres left in the tank, brimmed yesterday from light, 52 litres. It's a 60 litre tank

LOL.. We really should swap cars - I drive mine like a diesel changing early and gradually getting to speed and it sounds like you drive yours like a petrol

Ah haha, fair enoughski!

It's not so much my intercooler leaking but the o-rings are knackered. However a replacement one would be good to try this ol' cleaning it out with petrol thing. Haven't got the time to take mine off for a couple of days to let the petrol vapour away.

Seeing as this topic has gone a bit off topic anyway...

Ordered in some o-rings at my local ford main stealers, just a simple 1 1/4" black o-ring. Said I'd take two, to which the guy said they're £8.95 each!! So I've bought one in the vain hope my local BTL shop can sort me out with some. I had to buy one as mine are shagged and deformed, so hopefully with the dimensions and such I can pass onto those at MEG.
