you still going to run in street eliminator next year? have read that a few are going to drop out over the drag radials issue
yeah, I'll still be in S/E but on BFG drag radials - until something better arrives that can be legally run within the class rules - that should be about May time but its very secret at the moment
I don't think anyone will drop out - sorry, perhaps 1 - but there are 3-4 cars that wil have to make significant changes to their new setup - and wallets - to change over to a different tyre. Some believe that the criticism of the MT drag radials will be transferred to BFG's if someone runs a 7 on them in the UK.
Dwayne Guthrie ran a 7.48 @ 192 on BFG's last weekend
The old Sportsman and Sportsman Pros generally need to be wider to offer the traction that a narrower drag radial affords so it means different axles as well as a change of wheel width.
Re-tuning the 4 link to take into account the vastly different characteristics between Sportsman and Drag radials is also a big job requiring lots of track time. Some people would also need to look at their rear gear ratio.
However, most of the DR crowd will switch to BFG as the tyre of choice.
