You can do all that from Gmail and iGoogle anyway OR use a client like Adium on the Mac using a Gtalk account. I knew Fubz is a windozz fan so gave him a Wndows client to look at

Like right now I have my iGoogle open, which has logged me into Gtalk - no client needed and I'm at work on 27" iMac..
