This Government is really Fooked Up

So we are all being beaten daily about reducing our carbon footprint and being made to stop driving our polluting cars but...................

They want to build another runway at Heathrow airport, so that'll be 50 gallons a minute of raw kerosene pumped out into the upper atmosphere every time a plane takes off

Taking into account that they now want one plane to land as one takes off on each of the three runways every 40 seconds, thats 450 gallons a minute

Am I missing the point here ?? Or are they taking the pee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An example the BA guy said on the News this morning was:

If they had the extra runway, these planes would be able to land. saving all the fluffy bunnies.

Yea, I dont know who started that band-wagon but they need to be shot.

Just another reason to tax people, and mess up a few industries all in one go.

well pisses me off about recycling. i know we all should but what used to be collected by 1 vehicle now takes 3 oh look at the smog created, but if they had thought about it why not 1 bin with 4 compartments?

then 1 truck 4 compartments

see where this is going???

so i recycle the council pollute more for me to recycle... twats

There'll just be even more planes queueing up to land, not less.

The number of aircraft is going to increase whether there's a new runway or not. So the number of aircraft in holding patterns will also increase unless they build another runway.

What I dont understand is why they dont just build another airport somewhere else. They could have one away from the main city's to take all the peeps going on holiday, leaving the city ones just for commuters and post.
