Bleeding DVLA

Got a dear John letter this morning

With reference to your vehicle import application please submit the vehicle for inspection on 01/02/07 @ 09:30am in Millbrook.

Nice note on the bottom " You will be required to drive your vehicle into the premises and wait for inspection "

Well that's dam handy becuase it's not taxed or registered

also say's " It is an offence to use a vehilce on the public highway without a valid vehicle excise licence in force "

So just so they can check the engine and frame number I'll have to dismantle it, take out the seats in the GMC and heave it in and out whilst trying not to damage the paintwork

Had to do this with the westfield when we registerd that, trailered it to northampton for some one to look at the numbers and says yes

Someone told me they may have to physically check the Cadillac when she was registered . . . . They didn't, thankfully.

they had to check the truck when i transfered the number plate off of it, the guy didnt really know what number he was looking for, as long as it matched one on the v5 !!!

Spoken to the DivyLA again !

Basically it has nothing to do with the vehicle paperwork or the fact that over 400 Lifan's have already been registered in the UK

It's just a random selection to check it's mileage, colour, engine & chassis numbers

Once selected it's inspection or NO registration without any refund

So I've booked a day's holiday for next Thursday.

Oh and it's not legal to drive it on the road, although they told me that they can no longer refuse to inspect it if you do drive there

thats what i thought it was, i think you can have them come and inspect it from memory
