The olds are in the US in May to see a Shuttle Launch (amongst other things) which leaves me with the ability to host another one of these if people want to do this again?

What are your thoughts peeps? this is the only weekend it can be so there's no date flexibility unfortunately.

How many peoples Machines can run GTA IV? cos it would be great if we could all play this, even if we have to take it in turns or something.

Yeah gonna need a graphics card with more memory.  Can just about run it.  Game recommends 800 x 600 everything set to low

I can get it a little bigger but not much.  my GFX card is only 256mb apparently

Should we put this down for that weekend definately then?  GTA IV or not it should be fun.  (because there's not much point playing it unless most of us can)

Usual set of games?
anyone got any ideas for any newer ones?

Just had a quick look but I'm a little out of touch with the latest computer hardwarw would this do it?   XFX 9400GT 1GB DDR2 VGA DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card
I wouldn't want to spend more than £50.

or

Inno3D 8500GT 1GB DDR2 128bit

Currently have an 8600GT thought it was a 512mb but seems its only a 256mb

would this do it

http://www.gta4.net/news/4135/recommended-pc-specifications-for-gta-4/

add a tad to these as everyone knows they were a bit optimistic with the recommended specs.  particularly RAM & GFX Cards.

Are we still looking at May 15th - 17th ?

It's just that I was considering booking the Friday off work so I'm not utterly knackered Friday night (it's been over a year without caffine, now !)
That way I also don't have to rush and can "help" set-up, too or assist in the CostCo run.

Also - what games ?

I figure it's unlikely any off us, except Fubes, could run GTA4 so what are we likely to be playing ?

I don't mind, by the way.

I'm kinda looking forward to this. :g33k:
