There is no way I'd pay more than £500 for a computer now, the Guy who fixes all my computers builds them to spec very cheaply.
Let me know if you want his details ?

See I run some quite high-end Games on mine so it needs to be good, my current PC cost me £1200 and that was 4 years ago and with only some extra RAM and an updated GFX card will still run the latest Games, just not at the resoultions i'd like too...

Maybe, i'll see how the saving up goes...

for ready built machines i'd only ever have PCs from 2 companies Evesham because i've had a few of theirs and NEVER had any problems.  and Alienware... because the Rock but are expensive...  I costed one up on their site for a laugh recently and it came to £4500!!

Silicon Graphics Tezro visual workstations are immediately available in configurations starting at $20,500 (U.S. list price).

So pick the most expensive - It's bound to be the best ?

Boll*x to that.

Anyone who pays that are either stupid or too rich for their own good (and stupid).

well they are desktop super computers mainly used in scientific/engineering  fields but hey its still a PC and thus could be used for game play. Im sure the 4 processors and high bit rate graffix could cope with any game currently in the market place

Back to Monitors though, if I was going to get a 19" TFT it would be this one I reckon:

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/96112

4ms
1000:1 contrast
DVI Inputs
Ultra Slim Screen surround Bezel.  TFTs with HUGE edges just look silly to me...

Bit out of my price range, that one . . . .

I think I'll budget around £130 early next year . . . Should be able to pick up something reasonable by then.
