She passed 143,140 miles earlier . . . that's 27,000 miles with me behind the wheel.

After "tweeking" up the head bolts and re-sealing the rocker cover with bathroom silicone, wrapping a rag around the oil filler (that chugs smoke) the oil leak appears to have been reduced dramatically.

For now . . .

It's seems that she's breathing heavy so it'll just mean replacing that rag and topping her up on a regular basis.

O.K, she passed the 144,000 mile point today.

Just under 28,000 miles with me in control.

Downside . . . . .

I had to swerve to miss a van what was on my side of the road earlier . . . . smashed the R/NS hub cap on the curb . . . .

The total value of the car has now halved.

Now passed over 145,200 miles (29,000) in my ownership . . . looks like I'm going for a round 30K.

She's picked up an electrical fault . . . when you switch the headlights on the dash display doesn't light up . . . . this is remedied by either flicking them off and then back on or by repeated kicking and cursing.

Also I suspect the front brakes pads are within days of failing.

That sure is the case with my Chinese Beeatch bike, even if I clean it she plays up the next day. Just run the beeatch without any maintenance or cleaning and she runs like a dream
