Oh yeah! The idler arm! Had to get one of those replaced on the Mustang.

It does look a beast, how does it compare to a Cherokee?

I've had a 4.0 cherokee in my family for 12 years up until last year so I can give a good comparison. The simple fact is, they are very similar.
The power, the kick down, the sound on start up is pretty much equal.
The blazer has no fake wood like my dads did, but has a much nicer, rounder dash IMO.
The radio on the Jeep lasted longer as this one could do with a better lot of speakers.
The gearbox I would say was equal in qualities, for instance, I have driven both around Exmoor and both seemed the same.
I think all round, the Blazer looks better on a 'vehicle for every day use around town etc'', where as a Cherokee looks better parked on the edge of a cliff posing in a rugged manor.
The Blazer has a larger boot as it has no stupid spare wheel inside, it's underneath where it should be and iirc the Blazer is galvanised so the lack of rust issue is a big bonus.
MPG they are the same.
The seats IMO are more comfy in the Blazer, but that might just be my opinion, what is correct, is the back seats in the Blazer are far more accessible than they are in the Jeep as that has smaller back doors.

Hope this helps?

Annoyingly, I have forgotten to add in all the ads and ebay that because it is a 2000 model, it sits in the old tax system, just over £200 a year for tax....

I thought the old system was £180ish per year for over 2000cc?

My bad! It's gone up since I last put 12 months on a mondeo!

Real world driving, how many miles do you get to a tank and what does it cost to fill up?

I'm going to be honest as I have been, the fuel gauge on the Blazer is brilliantly accurate unlike all the other Chevys I have had....

I have never filled it up from empty, but, It costs about £70 to fill from empty (£1.32 a litre), and you get between 250-300 miles per tank...

As you can see, it doesn't have a massive tank....

Sounds about 60litres @ £70 what I was paying in the Mondeo and Cougar... Hmm

I work it all out at between 21-23mpg.

As I said in the advert, less if you floor it obviously, slightly, but not major more, if you cruise along.

I would just like to add, I have been very conscious about the answers on here and other forums as I do not want to mess anyone around.

I would rather keep the truck than lie to anyone....

Oh yes, he is covering all costs for me as he says it would only cost him the same if the other way....

As for buying without viewing, it is going for a fresh MOT Monday for piece of mind and I have nothing to hide, when he sees it he will see all is as I have described as I see it.....
