1967 Dodge Dart
« on: October 31, 2006, 09:42:44 pm »
Up for sale is my 1967 Dodge Dart (The BULLDOG). I’ve had it for 9 months and bought it for use as my daily driver.
When I bought it, I was told it didn’t need much work to get it running good etc………this was incorrect as I’ve spent a small fortune getting the car up and running and not a death trap.
Right first off the good points, these are parts that have been replaced:

-Crane Fireball Coil
-New plug leads
-New Plugs
-Pertronix Ignition kit
-Set of VDO gauges with all relevant senders.
-Aluminium Fuel Cell
-Carter Electric Fuel pump
-CORRECT thermostat housing and thermostat (not a crappy aftermarket one that leaks)
-New Flex plate, torque converter, shift kit and service kit for the A904                   trans
-Replacement Trans Pan as the one on there got dented (needs fitting)
-Oil filter
-Dash warning lights
-Lokar Stainless throttle cable
-Holley Fuel pressure regulator
-Mr gasket fuel pressure gauge
-Holley 4160 (1850) 4bbl carb (manual choke)
-New Starter motor
-Stainless Licence plates
-Door hinge repair kits (not all fitted yet)
-Mack truck bulldog hood emblem
-Klaxon horn
-Starter relay
-PCV valve
-Poly Bushing Front end kit  (suspension and steering including tie rod ends (inner and outer)not yet fitted)
-New Idler Arm (not yet fitted but will be)
-Recovered Seats
-Wiper Arm stem seals ( not yet fitted)
-2 x Cragar ss 15x7 wheels at the back (chrome is shot but tyres are excellent)
-2 x Slot mags 14x6 wheels at the front (good condition with almost new tyres)
The wheels are on using SEMA approved adapters which change the bolt pattern from 5x4” to 5x4.5” as 5x4” wheels are very hard to get hold of.
The car has been de-badged at the front and back, a lot of bodywork was done to make it look pretty good but tbh if you wanted to restore the car it would need new front fenders, boot lid, hood, bumpers etc.

Now for the bad bits:

-Will need new brake cylinders at the front as the bleed nipple had broken off of one before I got it.
-Will need the paint work finishing as she is currently sporting one coat of black sealer. The pictures make the paint look better than it is.
-Could do with a new windscreen rubber as the old looks a bit raggedy but doesn’t leak.
-Needs a radio antenna fitting in the existing hole.
-Needs carpet (Ebay US $200 delivered) (UK supplier £130 + p&p)

Im sure there are other bits that ive missed but in 9 months I don’t that’s bad.
The dart still has the factory fuel tank filler cap hole incase you wanted to revert to a factory fuel tank.
It comes with its original Cater BBD 2bbl carb with its own rebuild kit.
This would be any easy winter project as most of the work has been done.
I was using it everyday until the idler arm gave way (these are expensive for the 67 for some reason) which is on its way over as we speak.
Its got MOT till Feb 2007 and tax till.??????, its free anyway.
Its got the 273ci Motor which is 4.5 Litre and does around 20 ish miles to the gallon maybe more??
It has a 2 bench seat interior with seatbelts all round, the heater works great and cools well too.
Will come with whatever spares I have for it including the original gauge cluster etc etc.
Parts are readily available from the US from suppliers such as:
Year One
Mancini Racing
The Paddock
Laysons Restoration parts
Or from the UK from the usual suppliers.

So come and grab a rare 4dr Dodge Dart in Ratrod / Hotrod mode and enjoy the drive.
It looks mean, it sounds mean and with a few brake parts and a little general fetling will be a great car for anyone who wants to stand out.

IM AFTER A MORRIS MINOR VAN OR OTHER CLASSIC VAN OR PICK-UP IN GOOD CONDITION WITH MOT!!

£3500 ono

Oh and thats water on the hood as the pic was taken at 7am!!

Ahh, out of my price range, TBH.

I'd love her back . . . . . but I can't.

Good luck, Nick.  You've certainly turned her around.
