Im sure practiacally everyone knows about this already but 6 music just interviewed Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine about the whole situation. Its a VERY good interview!..

It's about 5 minutes long and starts 1hour 10 minutes in to this BBC iPlayer clip..

just stump up and buy it... its only 99p on itunes...

its partly for charity, Tom Morello said he's donating a portion of the royalties to a UK based youth music charity.

The main reason for buying it is to keep it at the top of the charts tso its the Christmas number one instead of that x factore shite!!

Dude, seriously... 65p for the alternative cause!! Most real music fans will have that one already but it's never been about buying the song, its supporting alternative music, its doing it for the power of the internet and a social networking experiment - will the music industry finially embrase the technology that is the internet like TV has (iPlayer, 4OD, TV Shack, YouTube etc) and the Movie industry is shortly following. The music industry are the only ones still trying to bind everyone with their old business model of:

WE PLAY, YOU LISTEN, YOU BUY, WE MAKE MONEY, BANDS MAKE FA, AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF LISTENING TO A NEW BAND - WE TELL YOU WHAT'S POPULAR...

Joe is a great singer and if people buy enough copies of his song and he beats current music than he deserves to be number 1.
